The Iron Tigers Robotics Team is a dedicated group of volunteers, teachers and students of all ages. Our FIRST program consists of a world championship qualifying high school FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) team, two elementary school FLL (FIRST Lego League) teams and an in progress middle school FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team. We reach out to kids of all age groups to educate and lead them towards STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Last year, our high school robotics team went to the FRC world championships in St. Louis and competed with our outstanding defensive robot, the Iron Curtain and placed 42nd place out of 400 teams. We ended the season ranked 168 in the world, out of 5500 teams.

Every year, FIRST develops a new game for our robots to play. We are given six weeks to design, build, and program a robot that can successfully complete the tasks of the game and give us a fighting chance at winning the competition. Our robot must meet the specific FIRST specifications in order to pass inspection and compete. We compete with other FRC teams in the area striving to earn a place at the world championship competition in April.

Your donations support our nationally accredited program where children and teens learn critical life and work related skills in the STEM disciplines.
